“I love the idea of creating jewellery that can be passed onto future generations, and know first hand how special it is to receive and give a piece that will be cherished forever by ourselves and our loved ones.”
Sylvie Kirton has led many different lives. She started modelling aged 16 in Brussels, Paris and Munich; won Miss Brussels at 21 and was first runner up in Miss Belgium (2002), before representing Belgium at Miss World in Nigeria. Next, she attended school in the U.S before graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance from ICHEC, one of the most prestigious universities in Brussels.

At 24, Sylvie’s desire to explore the world took her to Sydney where she worked for two start-up companies, one involved selling & training orthopaedics surgeons on new technologies, the other researching high performance for a consulting group. Both provided valuable experience of working in small, highly-motivated teams that strive for success.

After 5 exciting years in Sydney, Sylvie met the love of her life and followed him to Hong Kong where they lived for 10 years with their 3 children while fulfilling a lifelong dream of working in fine jewellery. After 7 years as a Senior designer at a bespoke diamond jewellery company, she decided it was time to finally realise another dream: to be her own boss. And so Sylvie Kirton Design was born.

Sylvie loves the thrill of designing new bespoke pieces for clients and takes her time to collaborate closely with clients to ensure each creation sits well with their existing collections. She works with a handful of the best jewellery workshops in Hong Kong, each of which has its own speciality and impeccable standards of manufacturing. Sylvie actively takes an interest in the working practices of her partners and only chooses workshops that invest in, and look after their staff.
“The most exciting part of my business is that I get to work for clients who are celebrating amazing milestones,” Sylvie says. “I strive to bring my clients dreams to reality and create pieces that will be cherished forever”.
